Truth be told, I occasionally make components that get set aside because I’m not sure what I’m doing with them. I have some creative compulsions that take over, mid day, then I decide I better get back to bread and butter and think it all over. In this case, the human figure, foot, bowl and the open part of the stem were all “accumulated” over time. Then one day I look around and see that I almost have something. The figure happens to eye up with the stem well, I add the outer arcs and rays to it (the stem), add some gold and silver fuming, assemble and here we are.
I’ll tell you again that I know exactly “what” I’m doing, but I figure out how as I go,because “the best laid plans of mice and men oft go astray” you know?
I just aim for the light and it all comes together. That’s faith.
We watch and listen and move, guided by light. I couldn’t doubt it again if I tried. I’ve received enough confirmation to fill all the cups ever made, and I aim to share it above all else. Dogma free.
I thank you for the very important part you play in fueling this transformative fire that burns for you as much as any.
It’s there when you look for it, it’s there when you don’t.
It won’t wait to shine. It’s just what light does. What it does to a person when they answer it, stand naked in it ??
It changes them from an animal into a Human Being.
It’s the hardest thing for a person to do. Also the most worthwhile.
Shine Brighter every moment, ask all the questions and see for yourself what this place is really about.
Here they are. First time I've picked up soft glass in something like 8 or 10 years.
Auction is for this set of four experimental 104 glass spinning tops. This was absolutely fun. I didn't know if I could do this or not, so I tried and here we are. These all spin really clean.
Largest top is 46mm x 27mm diameter.
This auction is now closed.

I try to say really obvious things in a way that attempts to transcend the obvious. I hear it but probably sound like an idiot to others when I say things like; “if you’re going to start, then you HAVE to START.” “if you’re going to do this, then you HAVE to DO THIS.
…and so you do, and you fall. You go again and you fall. You go again and you fall. You’re furious now. “why do I keep falling damnit?!!” because life is falling, and life is getting up. After surviving fall after fall and getting back on with a progressively concentrated self and practice towards a calm demeanor, somehow this thing grows beneath all of your suffering. This is good suffering, it’s been worth it. It’s my war, it’s the only war I can help with.
My war is a war to end wars. I’m not out there preaching it or fighting it, because that’s not where the fight is. The war is inside every one. We each conduct one, and when we lose is when it escapes our personal battlefield. All fire is friendly fire.
Ghandi said it all before, and we know the dude was right, but it’s “weak” in the eyes of the ignorant. So we wonder what the hell we’re supposed to do. There’s so many angry people, so many unsettled differences.
What you don’t do, when you see a fight, is go in swinging and yelling. You look at peoples eyes and make contact with your grounded self so they SEE you first, then you reach out, the willing and ready will join. Teamwork restores balance. We have to help each other keep our cool…
The other day our ducks started going in the garden and pecking at zucchini flowers while we were picking some cukes. We reacted by going towards them , then the dogs followed us in. Now there’s Shani and myself, with two dogs and two ducks in the garden acting like fools. We reacted and made a simple thing worse just escalated to where we realized we reacted without thinking. If you just go the other way and call, the ducks just follow. We forgot to lead from the front… you try to push and you end up with a pile…
So stream of conciousness goes on with what we’re supposed to do to help, we’re supposed to learn. The best way to learn is to do. The more we learn, the more we understand. The more we understand the more we are able to connect, commiserate and find common ground.
The game of divide and conquer is a dangerous direction to move in. Staying connected with your real and looking to connect with the next right thing is THE best thing any of us can do for all the rest, because we can’t talk down fighting from afar, we can only argue over what we should do, arguing over what we think some other people that we’ve never met or spoken with, should do. What a waste. Just turning off the TV would help the world more than that go nowhere debate it’s spewing at you.
Life is short, all that’s true is change and that we’ll all go on someday. Every now is new so you get to grab it anytime you remember to.
They told you you should feel bad about things, that there is trouble in the world so you should repent and pray for salvation. You can kneel and pray for answers, or you can sit quietly with the world and just listen like you’ve never listened before. However you arrive at your center, the place where good and bad just become “what is”.
The latest in a series of vessels that I’ve been exploring when the mood is right. This represents the kind of work I’ve been finding the most satisfaction in.
I’m really grateful to be here now, with this peculiar and infinite pursuit to focus on a medium that appeals to me.
Curves and lines, curves and lines. An entire universe is represented by curves and lines. First a point, then a line, then a curve, and lots of space. Then there’s that mystery of consciousness and thought, the idea and the senses.. It goes on and on from there…Ideas in space is all we are.
It’s inside the bottle, and it is the bottle, simultaneously!
A Quantum Vessel. That’s the idea anyway … 12.5″ tall.
